Emily is an athletic girl who prefers simple and comfortable clothes, but her style is definitely not boring. She incorporates a lot of clean silhouettes and bright colors which make her outfits colorful and lively. Here are the main elements of Emily's style:
- Off-Shoulder tops: Emily layers these with a tank top underneath - she usually picks bold, solid colors.
- Athletic Gear: Think colorful hoodies and leggings.
- Stripes
- Dolman sleeves
- Khaki and denim skirts
- Messenger bags
- Sporty shoes - Keds, Converse, Vans
Other tips:
Proportion is key - Emily usually wears slouchy clothes like dolman sleeves, oversize t-shirts and boyfriend cardigans. Always remember to pair these with a more fitted silhouette on the bottom such as skinny jeans or leggings.
Minimal Jewellery - If you want to look comfy chic like Emily then stick to simple jewellery like flower necklace in the set above or a nice watch. Silver hoop earrings are another Emily favorite.
Tone down the make-up - Skip the layers of foundation. Just use a little bronzer for a healthy glow and maybe some blush. A fresh swipe of lip gloss and you should be good to go. Wear your hair down or in a ponytail.
Comfy and casual doesn't mean stick to the same thing every day. Check these pictures out to see how Emily keeps it different :)
Accessories like scarves, hats and bags can really add to an outfit. Plus it's a great way to keep toasty and you guessed it, comfy, in the colder seasons!
Just look at this sweater (below). I want! Drapes and cuts are another way to branch out of your usual styling without lacking the comfort factor.
In this picture (above) Emily is wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans and the pairing has never looked this good! The scarf adds a pop of color while the neutral boots/jacket/bag combo work in harmony to create perfect comfy chic.
Emily impresses us yet again as she shows us how to spice up your 'go-to' pieces like this denim skirt with a pair of boots and a nice sweater (below).
